Los datos aportados en la carta no permiten determinar el lugar de desaparición del teniente Druce. Por su parte, el alférez Westhofen falleció el 12 de abril de 1918 (en la misiva lo daban por desaparecido en junio del mismo año), desconociéndose dónde se halla enterrado.
El recomendante, que solicita información sobre dos militares ingleses y uno francés, no especifica en qué población denominada "Montdidier" desaparece el último.
