El peticionario explica en una de las misivas que enviaron a su hijo, interno en Mauthausen, 40 liras en monedas y un paquete de comida, y que le escribieron siete u ocho cartas de las que no recibieron respuesta. Posteriormente, tras mandar un telegrama, les contestaron desde el campo de Mauthausen diciendo que el soldado no había recibido nada de lo enviado, y a través de otro prisionero supieron que su hijo llevaba varios meses sin estar en Mauthausen.
