La peticionaria explica que lleva más de un año sin tener noticias acerca de su hijo, el sargento Antonio Grechi y, pese a que la carta no está fechada, puesto que el sello es de 1916 cabe suponer que esta escribiría en ese mismo año y el militar desaparecería en 1915. Afirma, también, que su hijo no desapareció en un combate sino en una expedición en el Isonzo con otro regimiento.
