La peticionaria escribe a la Oficina para que le ayuden a conocer la causa de la muerte de su hijo en Mauthausen, desde donde le escribió la última carta el 28 de abril de 1916. Un mes después, en mayo, su marido recibió una notificación telegráfica a través de la cual les comunicaban el repentino fallecimiento del hijo, pero sin especificar si su muerte fue natural, si murió por enfermedad, o si se suicidó. La Oficina les comunicó por vez primera en noviembre de 1916 que la causa de muerte fue el suicidio.
La ficha onomástica número 2342 ha perdido la bandera negra con el paso del tiempo, y únicamente quedan en el papel las marcas de las grapas.
