History
Nacionalidad francesa. Pintor, dibujante y grabador. Estudió con Paul Delaroche en la École des Beaux-Arts de París. En 1839 hizo un viaje a Mallorca y realizó una serie de 55 litografías. Es especialmente conocido por sus obras sobre Turquía y Persia, adonde viajó con el geógrafo e ingeniero francés Xavier Hommaire de Hell entre 1846 y 1848.
