History
Fue infante de España, sexto hijo de Felipe V y de su segunda esposa, Isabel Farnesio, duquesa de Parma. Ejerció la carrera eclesiástica y fue cardenal arzobispo de Toledo y primado de España, así como arzobispo de Sevilla. Abandonó el estado eclesiástico en 1754, convirtiéndose en 1761 en el XIII conde de Chinchón. Fue un importante mecenas que apoyó a pintores como Francisco de Goya y Luis Paret, y al músico Luigi Boccherini.
